Inadequate Attendance

Our timetable for this five week block is ridiculous especially because it’s immediately before the biggest exams of our lives.

Today I got home at 11pm and on thursday at midnight if I’m lucky…

What’s worse is that some of the senior doctors treat us like prisoners, bellowing “where’s ____?” whenever one of us goes missing for five minutes.

I’m terrified for my life lol.

How To Respond To An Apology

Today a really cute doctor asked me to take blood from a patient so after collecting all the materials I went to the patient’s bed and inserted the needle.

Halfway through the process the doctor was accompanied by a nurse who began telling me off because the patient had already had her blood taken.

Doctor: “It was actually my fault…”

*Awkward silence*

Doctor: “Sorry Rory”

Me: “No, it’s fine…”

*Awkward silence*

I actually don’t have any hard feelings towards the nurse because I think he had to appear angry: if he hadn’t done so perhaps the patient would’ve been annoyed if you understand what I mean? He was possibly saving me from the situation?
